This popped up on Instagram...I have no details other than its location. Rollins Auto Wrecking Yard Spanaway, WA At a bare minimum, there are TONS of valuable parts on this Duster. Somebody save this thing.
If the PO thought those wheels were a good idea, he probably ruined the rest of the car beyond being salvageable
No man, I am all sorts of modern, I run THE biggest size wheels possible without looking ghetto...15x7s and, are you sitting down? 15x8s on the back Oh, and they are timeless classics, slotted mags
That's my first thought when I buy an old car. They are usually modernized beyond my taste when they have modern wheels like that so I'm skeptical to invest in such a modernized car. Good parts car though
Whenever I see cars stacked on top of each other in a yard like that, it always boggles my mind how stupid people have to be to do that. Complete DUMBASSES!
Waaaaah waaaah waaaaah. More whining and complaining. If you know what’s best for everyone, how come you had to message me to figure out what size tires would actually fit your car? And every time I see 14” rallyes on a car I think there’s a person that not only has terrible taste, but has so little understanding of tire technology that they’re completely oblivious to how well their car can actually perform. Or, there’s some poor car that never gets used because all it’s owner does is park it in a garage 99% of the time. You’re usually better than this, ignorant statements like the one you made don’t suit you.
It's replies like this one that you're on my ignore list. I am sure he messaged you about help with what wheels would fit his car because he respects your opinion and he, like I and everyone else knows you have vast knowledge in this area. How DARE you call him out about a message sent in private! You should be ashamed for acting like an ass toward someone who privately chose YOU for help. Also, how DARE you say something like that to our lovely lady member. This just further proves your holier than thou "think like I do or else" attitude. Some people actually like running factory size wheels and tires. Screw you and the horse you rode in on for trying to cram your opinion down everyone's throat and act like it's the only opinion that's right. It's not. Now I'm back to ignoring you. Prick.
wow, winter is long over and it still seems like everyone has spring fever..........opinions are like.......oh well. Now, I’m sure that car has a ton of parts if it is not saveable. Not my favourite year (73 isn’t it?Maybe it’s a 360 Duster?) but still an A-body nonetheless. Could probably sell the wheels for the cost of buying the body at crush value.
I kinda like the 73 best. My high school best friend got a 73 340 car shortly after school, because he was always impressed with my 73 340 Rally Charger. His Duster black with white stripes and the 340 callout. I always thought it looked really good. Flat hood and no wing. I thought it was a really mean lookin ride. It's funny.......even though my Charger severely outweighed the Duster, he never could outrun it. lol
I don’t think the wheels and tires sent it to the junkyard, it could’ve been the loose nut behind the wheel. Or someone else ran into it.
I most certainly didn't mean to upset you because if you look closer at what I posted, it wasn't an attack on you or your taste. I stated my opinion for when I'm buying a car. To judge someone's car that is at a show is one thing. But when you are going to put your money on it is another thing. I do pass on modified cars because I'm not going to put my money on someone else's dream and work. I prefer a car that has more naturally aged. I stated it in context to the car in the OP because I would part it or pass. Maybe I should have kept it to myself, I'm not above that thought. However, I didn't post that with the intent to piss off 72blunblu
I absolutely love the 73 and up look. My last car purchase is a 75 duster. It has a rusty top from the vynil top but absolutely bone stock. Loaded car with "extras" not available in earlier dusters.
That's exactly what I've got. Good taste man! I probably ought to shrink the front wheels down to 15x5's or 15x4's though. 14x7's came with the car. Jack-all for tire selection so I went with 15's. Very few rubberband tires look good on these cars. If I were forced to by tire selection I could do 17's. Ugh, I just got a shiver like I walked over my own grave just thinking about that. Picture the day I bought the car. Current wheels
Smoke screen, ejector seat, oil slick, caltrops and tire shredders, machine guns on the fenders, freaky mohawk guy bumper protectors. (Mad Max options) Oh, I almost forgot. Curb feelers and ground straps!
