Weather is coming

We didn't get any of that ice Mike but when i came in the house after stoking up the furnace it looks like we had about 6+ inches and still coming down. It's suppose to snow all night and into tomorrow. The wife also stayed home today but i'm working on the "Spec" house so i was able to go over and hang rock and get the guys going on the wiring. My payed electrician skinned me so i had to get someone else. I'm bad about trusting people. It's gona be nice. It appraised the other day for, are you ready for this? $300,000. Be nice to get it sold before i get it finished. I'd probably take a vacation or buy another car. This weather is definatly interesting.

Hey memike I hope everything works out for you guys. I have quite a bit of family and friends back that way and will be checking on them tommorrow. Out here we get tons of snow, but not much ice.

The snow hit more areas then the ice did, But down south close to little Rock it rained most of the day and now it is freezing.
It is humbling to me to see the snow, It brings back some good ol times in Ill with my grandmother mom and younger brothers and of coarse old girl friends.
I hope your family is doing fine and enjoying the snow fall, It will be here for a while, because the temperatures are staying bellow freezing.

This is how I know the weather is going to be bad

memike,
The last of the snow has departed our area and you should see the end before too long. We ended up with 8 inches on top of the ice.

We escaped any outages but it did go out within 30 miles of us in 3 different directions.
My happy butt stayed in the house execpt to go out to feed and water the birds. I have a cat so I tossed a bunch of bread up on the roof. My roof has a lot of birds visit today.

Wow !!!!! That is one cool radar map site LeftCoastJeff
I saved it in my favorites :happy10:
It looks like the system is growing 8) I think this will be the most snow cover I have seen on the hill.

Take some time to look at that....lots of info, hope you dodge the worst.

click on the map......

I did and it shows a better reading of the snow and rain systems then our local radar, I looped it and I clicked on the north east Arkansas area where I am at "Jonesboro" Thank you again

Just had a fun drive home...after knocking about 3/4 inch of ice my truck got to take to the hiways and byways. Luckily traffic was light on interstate, the bridges made it interesting, could see cars sideways on overpasses, the flyover connecting I40 and I240 had trucks stopped half the way up couldn't make it over, they shut it down and were diverting traffic. When I got home temp was 29 and dropping another fun morning in the works

On the boat here at Cairo,IL and vis' is maybe 1/2 mile with winds at steady 20+ and gusts to 30+. Hoping the tugs don't get our barges off the other boat until it dies down some. Hate to send the guys out in this crap. It's that tiny stuff that feels like needles hitting skin.

Well, it's been coming down steadily here since about 9:30 this morning. Not much ice but this is the most snow I've seen since moving here over three years ago.

There's at least seven inches on the ground now but the drifts kind of remind me of living in Illinois and Colorado.
