hi Y'all,
i started dissassembling and cleaning up the switchgear for my restoration. i use a solution called alumiprep ro remove the tarnish off the copper and brass contacts, and restore old switches to useable condition. anyway i took apart my windshield wiper switch assembly. it was so crusty it wouldent even turn. i cleaned all the old dilectric grease out, scrubbed out all the grime, used my alumiprep and a small brass bristle brush to clean everything up , then i applied new dialectric grease on the contacts and reassembled. there appears to be only 1 detent on the switch, then its a variable knob all the way to high speed.
heres the question. did the 67 barracuda come with a true variable speed wiper switch?? not a low, high switch with detents, but a true variable speed switch like a rheostat?? i ohmed it out with my meter, i smoothly vary vary the reading by rotating the switch from first detent to full high.
is this correct?
