Welding a lower control arm

I have done a little on the 1/2 oval damage on the lower control arm where the torsion bar tightener sits
can this be welded or it the control arms scrap

Pictures always help! No reason you can't replace metal with a few arcs.

IMHO, that part is stamped, not cast. I would have no problem building and grinding on this part. I would not chance the BJ boss as I think it is cast.
