Went crabing and squid fishing tonight

I didn't do so well with the squid fishing part but I did limit on Red Rock Crabs. mmmm tasty! I am cooking them up right now so that I can freeze them and enjoy them!

I just ate one and let me tell you fresh crab is fantastic!!!!! (not that I haven't had fresh crab before) what a fun night to get off work go crabbing and then get to enjoy some fresh tasty crab!
 
I go once a week for red rock crab down under the golden gate bridge. I have been nailing them lately.

I have never been Crabbing 8) is it like catching Mud Bugs "Cray fish" in a basket with meat in it to attract them in it ? I love Crab =P~=P~ and looks like a great night was had catching them res1vw21 :cheers:

Yeah I live in a beautiful place for sure. I use chicken in a net. The chicken goes in a bait cage so the sea lions don't take it.
 
Never heard of red rock crabs, are they like dungenous crabs? They look alike. It is stone crab season here in Fla and we have been feasting on these. They only harvest the claws and the crab goes back to regrow.

I had those last year on vacation in florida. They are very similar. Here you can take 1 claw off and throw them back or keep the whole crab.
