I finally got my car together and went out for a cruise tonight. It never shifted better! Clutch was nice and level with the brake pedal, shifter tight as a crabs butt (and thats watertight..... ) and the motor is feeling better and better every time I drive it. Now I'm starting to notice that the end carbs are opening too late, I need to install the MSD system, I still have to play with jetting and plugs..... You know, all the FUN stuff.

But boy oh boy, did I have a nice ride! I wish I could have taken everyone with me...... :thumrigh:

It's about damn time! :geek:
Now take that fish out and have fun with it,after all the trouble you had putting it together you deserve to have some fun now! :thumleft:

Congrats. buddy! :thumleft:

Thanks everyone for the support! Now I get to play with the interior a bit. I have a few ideas on how to make the interior stand out a bit from everyone else's. And the first putz to point out that I have the wrong grain on my door panels or the shifter is .000375 off center is getting drop-kicked in the chops.... :D

Build it the way you want it to be, if someone else doesn't like it they don't have to look at it. It's what makes you happy thats counts

Hey John,

First of all, GOOD DEAL on the drive. I'm lovin' it.

If you're doing the seats over you outta check out http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/

I bought my Dart pieces from them. Quality stuff at VERY good prices.

:D Thanx for the reference. I saved it for future use as my interior is probably the car's best feature (cosmeticly). I got lucky and not only found a correct bench seat for my car, but it is almost MINT! I found it online in Wisconsin and it is exceptionally nice. I pulled the seat back covers off and installed headrests. I have a nice set of door panels ( originally from Tom Hunsaker's beautiful `69 B`cuda....) that I bought years ago, and my dashboard & pad are MINT. I also just picked up a medium quality carpet for now.

I just gotta stick it all together.....

Maybe then I'll fix the shifter
