Got the chance to take the son's cars to a 1/4 mile racetrack, - Mission Raceway.
Ferry to the mainland is $300ish each roundtrip, with the trailers .
Both these vehicles came on the property as shells, had a ton of fun doing them, and any time spent with your kids is bonus.
All mechanical, interior, body and paintwork was done by us.
The blue one has a Frankenstein 340 + 0.060 motor we threw together, (building a stroker) Stage 3 truck crank, heavy, no balance, - stock pistons, not sure what cam, (not Comp), 780, Doug's thru exhaust, 4:56, - 295/55/15, - hooks really well . Best was 13.6. Son learned to start pulling the shifter waay before you fan the clutch .
The green one is member @nfhDODGEnfh car, he sought guidance from some of you regarding nitrous, which I have limited experience.
It's a sweet 340 +0.030, can't remember cam, (not Comp), stock pistons/heads, 780, nitrous, Doug's thru exhaust, 3:55, drag radials, it also hooks.
They were hoping 12's, - best was 13.09, I believe .
Last week, fishing off the West Coast, lotsa action, best was 21 lb spring salmon, with quite a few smaller being released.
Great fun.
