Westside German Shepherd Rescue!

I'm on my PDA so I don't know how this is gonna work out....but anyhow...

Zane was the last of a litter surrendered. Noone knew what the parents were and he hasn't defined enough for me to figure it out. I'm kind of glad we got lab blood though considering 4 out of 7 days during the warm weather on the lake. And we've already found out he loves the water.

By the way....Ms. Airplane is about the most adorable thing I've seen. When we get home I'll post some pics of Bud, our 100+ lb Dobie. (He's a flop eared rascal too)

Here my best friend, "Buddy" hes 9 months old and 45lbs. He will be around 80 to 95lbs full grown. People tend to think Bassets are small dogs but they are more like big dogs with small legs.

A great friend of mine has one, here name is libby.
I tryed to put her in the fromt seat of my truck and did not make it.#-o
She is a red and white just like yours AdamR.
she had to be over 50 lbs. And she liked being around people and liked
getting attention . Buddy looks like a dandy.:thumbrig:

This is not my dog, But I just thought ramcharger and yall would enjoy it.
This a a great picture from a photographer in Missouri.

Just sharing a picture.

The first two pics are of my female lab Riley Coyote out on the boat in Ely MN. Kinda get an idea how big she is for a female lab (tall and thin, about 85#). The third is of Swinger the male (112#).

Now that I'm at home, I can post a pic of my boys. I know I've done one or two on a different thread, but gosh, I just love them.

Prince is the smaller, older one. We got him and his little brother from some backyard breeder. I learned a lesson on that transaction. We had to put his brother down at 24 weeks, kidney failure is the best reason we got from the vet.

So the same day that we had him put down, we went out and got the biggest pup we could find.

That's Max(Max II, to be exact). He's a big softie.

Hey, there's your buddies! The expression on GSD's faces are incredible. Good looking boys. Max II has such beautiful coloration and a great expression.

Kinda odd how they both have a lazy ear on the same side like you had mentioned before. No matter though, lazy ear doesn't mean lazy dog!

Sorry to hear about Prince's brother. That must've truly sucked. We had a little scare with Turbo. The vet thought that she might have some early signs of hip dysplaisa, or it could be growing pains. Luckily, it was growing pains (whew!).

We have this one in our bedroom.
It's a painting by Andrew Wythe and Amy swears it's a picture of our Mutt Angel....

And please disregard the Pig mask, it's left over from a costume party.

I am from Arkansas where the Razerback's go to Collage .:bball:

GTS340,

Smokin' Labs!

Fastback340:

WOW! That painting is amazing! It must be fate. I also wanted you and Adam know that I had contacted the gal who runs Westside GSD rescue to let her know what I've been up to and she's all for it! Your best friend is quite the looker and can I say that he seems to favor the wife, lol!

Mike,

We just signed today and we have the house! I wish I had the time right now, or I'd definitley get Ms. Airplane. Time will tell.

Our gal Angel is a Shepard-Terrier-Labrador mix. She has the intelligence of a Shep...the love of a Lab....and, at times... the attitude of a Terrier. And I wouldn't change a thing. At 14 yrs. she recently went deaf, but fortunately Amy spent time for years going to obeidence training classes. Not only did our girl behave like a model student, she also learned hand signals, which has been a blessing.

I tease my Wife all the time about clipping off a piece of Angel and having her cloned every 5-7 yrs. She really is a great dog. Must be the Shepard in her....8)

Thanks FUNNY!!!!!!!! Razerback's go to college..... 8)

Seriously, the Pig mask is a piece out of our "Pig" collection. We collect Pig's.... stuffed, ceramic, Hummel, Etc....inside joke between me & the Misses.... Damn things are everywhere.

John,

She really looks great for 14 years old. Both of you are obviously great pet owners. Cheers my friend!:grommit::cheers:

Here's Zane's playmate, Bud. Ms. Airplane isn't the only one who's flopped, problem is, someone paid to have his ears cropped. He pulled the tape off one prematurely, so he's a one eared wonder lol

(For a size comparison, I'm 5'10" )

If it was not for these guys and galls I would be very lonely.

OK, I'm gonna bug the crap out of everyone again, but: Ms. Airplane is still up for adoption!!

How could anyone resist seeing this girl greet you at the door after a hard days work? Not only that but this dog would also be a great chick/dude magnet for you single guys/gals out there! Everyone would want to know were you found such cool looking dog, kids will ask if she's ready to take off and seniors will tell stories of piston engine aircraft. Some needs to adopt this girl.

Fastback340's favorite pick, Ginger, is still up for adoption too. This GSD is truly stunning and I gotta say, John's got a great eye. She's a big strong-willed girl more fitting for an experienced GSD owner and is would most likely do well in Schutzhund competition. If I had my choice, I'd get both Ms. Airplane and Ginger. Kinda like having a Porsche and VW bug in the same garage. Here she is!

And here is Franz. Franz was given up to Westside GSD Rescue @ 12 months "because he got too big". Duh! Somedays I am amazed by people, both good and bad. Anyway, he's really a good looking boy with a good disposition.

I'd take em all if I could, and with two dogs now, one a GS, and three cats, my wife would welcome them in..

Here's my bud Fargo. He's a big boy with a heart of gold. Don't laugh about the weight, it's been a coooold winter and he's been hibernating :)

Looks like Fargo's been keeping cozy. When I pack on a few pounds during the winter I always say "Cheaper than a new coat and just as warm", I wonder if that's what Fargo would say? lol! He's a good looking boy and probably looking foward to spring as much as the rest of us.

Even with a couple extra pounds on him, I sure wouldn't want to walk into your yard uninvited. He's looking pretty serious there!

Franz sure is a fine ! fine young man!!
He looks like he is a queries and fun looking learner to me.:thumbrig:
Hopefully he will find a good home with his whit.:king:
I need to quit looking at this thread.
I hav'ent got over the hart brake part yet.:pale:
