we've got three '69 cudas, and this one's a 'vert

I gotta ask, where in the HELL did you buy a barracuda convertible for 2k?!?

Decent find at a WAY more than decent price. From the looks of the pic, it seems that the car belonged to a DOD employee (remnants of decal and windshield) as well as a member of the Plymouth Barracuda Owner's Club or Barracuda Webring...not sure which. I would get rid of that driver's side mirror, but that is just me. Did you trailer it home because it does not run or just to be on the safe side?

At any rate, superior find and a great start! Keep us posted!

It was a Navy Nuke who sold it to me, and it's trailered because I haven't had it licensed it yet.

And in the interest of full disclosure, this car has A LOT of rot.

The frame rails at the rear axle kickover (and other areas) have been EXTENSIVELY patched, with homegrown versions of what Auto Rust Technicians will sell you.

Done well, but obviously done.

The floor pan, rockers, trunk, rear quarters, and the front fenders ALL have blistering bondo. The $2K in Year One metal is basically EVERYTHING that I could get for the car.

My spare fastback will donate its front fenders, until these can get fixed.

The Hemi fastback has had one rear full quarter and floor pan sections replaced by me, but I'm considering professional help on this one.

This car is very original, and obviously worth saving, but I won't bastardize this one like I did the Hemi car (which was a small block to begin with).

I would love to see pictures of your entire school of fish! Fun cruiser when the Hemi just won't do LOL

Patched and driving is better than laying in a field rotting away regardless.
Even if you just enjoy it until the patches need patches then part it out, its a good buy.

Hey great score from a fellow 10 car '69 'cuda/Barracuda owner.

Cost $2k, and I got $2k of year one metal.

Just need time. Runs and was licensed when I bought it last November
Nice color. Here's my 69 with 68 stripes.
