Prowler sat inside stolen vehicle, filmed piles of stolen loot with stolen computer webcam
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A man Spokane Valley police call a prolific car prowler is in jail after getting caught in the act by a Spokane attorney. Nathan Calvert may have a hard time proving his innocence thanks to a video posted on his own Facebook profile page.
In the video, Calvert pans around the interior of a vehicle, displaying all manner of goods in the back and passenger seat. Detectives say the back seat in that video is filled with stolen property, giving them yet another piece of evidence against him.
Investigators think Calvert used a webcam from a stolen laptop as he picks up the computer and then pans around the Jeep to show the loot from his early-morning break-ins."The things that were photographed, the things that were on the website were in exactly in the same order we found them in when he was arrested. So for the most part same exact items the bikes the bags, everything," Sergeant John Knowles with the Spokane Valley Police Department said.
