Randy Rhoads (w/ Ozzy)

I really like the Move with Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood. Early signs of ELO in thier music.

If anyone ever wonders where The ELO got the tune for Ma Ma Ma Belle.
Of course, that was after their first album after the Doctor Roy Wood left.
Mott didn't have the "depth" of The Kinks, but Hunter/Ralphs wrote some significant songs.
So I put them in my list.

Also forgot Buddy Holly, Buddy was a huge insperation for the Beatles. Buddy played over there and Paul and John were there to see Buddy Holly and the Chripin Crickets play when they were young, Paul wanted to name there band the "Crickets" but they couldn't so the next choice was the "Beatles"....the Beatles played sevaral Buddy songs but could not even come close to the way he sang, they even tried to sound just like him but couldn't hit the notes and chourds he did, they even credit Buddy Holly with playing a major part in why their group exisited. IMO, Buddy Holly is the real King of Rock n' Roll...but Elvis was good, not ripping on him, both artists died way too young :banghead:

I always thought Gary Busey did a hell of a good job in 1978 in the Buddy Holly story singing and playing.

Yup, he did a great job! Did you know that Buddy Holly was the first white band to play the at Apollo? At first the fans were shocked, but after hearing his music they loved them! There was confusion between the bands, there was another black band called the "Crickets" LOL, very cool piece of history

Sorry, don't mean to preach too much Buddy Holly, just think he is awesome....I will try to stop now LOL
