I know its a 50's mopar, I took this picture at the last good guys show in pleasanton. I played around with it in photoshop, and with out me know she blew it up to 16x20 and gave it to me for christmas on a nice black frame with white matte.

49-50 Merc. The same kind that Silvester Stallon used in his detective movie. His was grey. One of my buddies here in town has one that he'd sell if ya just got to have one. Probably in the 50K range. His is red with yellow and pearl white flames and skirts.....and chopped.

Even though it's not a Mopar, who doesn't love a chopped Merc? And why not stick a HEMI in it too? Too rich for my blood, but it's a car I'd love to own. Cobra was an awesome movie too.

Is this anyway to treat a Merc? Hollywood doesn't care! At least he was chasing a Mopar. :-D

Yup a 49-50 Merc. The original lowrider! The lead sled. Very, very popular for customizing back in the day.......

From the "cars from the year you were born" thread............the skirts and the rake make that thing look awesome.

I think the "Pharaohs" were driving one similar in " American Graffiti ".

Wylde, How u get those pics of the Cobra Merc? That's nat a screen capture is it?8)

Google images. Search "Sylvester Stallone Cobra Mercury" First pic was from HotRod.com http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgu...org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=N&start=20&um=1

Scrolled down 'till I found the image. Saved. Second pic also from Google images. The others were off the Mecum auction link I posted. Right click on picture >open in new window >save image. Easy peasy. :-D

I read somewhere that the Pharaohs probably didn't do much driving in that car. It burnt oil badly & could hardly move under its own power. Most of the movie shots where it was moving it was being towed. :-D Still a cool car though.
