Hey guys. I'm about to start my disc brake swap on my dart. I currently have spindles and caliper brackets. I know I need to order calipers and rotors, as well as lines and a MC, but what else to I need for the brakes themselves? I know there are bearings and such, I just need the names of them. I also need to know what lube I need for the spindles (the factory ones I removed were covered in lube.) Thanks FABO

Wheel bearing grease and the wheel bearings themselves with the bearing races would be a good idea. I think there is a how to if you search disc brake upgrade in google.

Brake fluid :D
Most any Heavy Duty disc brake wheel bearing grease is just fine since disc grease is less meltable at higher temps.
Personally I prefer Lucas Red and Tacky for everything serviceable with grease including wheel bearings.

What year Dart you doing the brake conversion on?
72 and earlier will require 73-76 upper control arms, and Lower Ball Joints.

For your 73+ front disks, the wheel bearings are inside the "rotor", which also serves as the "hub". That is great because you get a new hub w/ every rotor, whereas for early cars the hubs weren't a replacement part and are hard to source. Perhaps you can buy rotors w/ bearing races already installed (check rockauto). Buy the very best wheel bearing grease, since the jar will last a lifetime. At least in the 1990's MbS2 "moly" grease was claimed best. There are special bearing greases for front disks, but most are such today. You must pack the grease well into the roller bearings (youtube). If you just smear it on, they will soon fail. And don't over-tighten, follow the shop manual.
