What fan to use

I am in the final stages of my 340 build and my old 318 had a "mechanical fan" (not sure if that's is correct term) should I get one with a clutch? It's a 70 dart

Of course you should they take less hp to turn and are much more quiet.

Yes, you want a good clutch fan. Finding a good, stock unit and putting a new clutch on it wouldn't be a bad way to go.

Mancini sells new clutch fans, but you need to make sure that you have enough room to the radiator or it will hit or be too close...

There is a low profile clutch that is about 1/2" or so shorter....

I have a 74 Duster with factory AC and the stock 26" rad and shroud. A stock clutch fan from an 85 Dodge truck fit and works perfectly. It's an 18" 5 blade fan.
