What goes in these two holes

There are two holes through my 1970 Abody firewall. I don’t remember what goes there. I found this picture of my old car and have labeled the two cables/tubes A and B. Can someone identify them? Is one of them the speedometer cable?

Thanks for the info. I wish I had a car nearby to compare things to and I wouldn’t have to ask simple questions, but it is great to have some internet car buddies to call on. Maybe someday I can pay it back, or forward.
