what is a 340 crank worth?

I have a chance to buy a 340 forged crank from a local engine builder that I know. This is a standard crank that will need to be turned as it has been sitting for quite a few years. Because I know the guy I do not want to screw him over but I also do not want to pay too much for it.

75 bucks would be a good price. u can find a forged crank from an early 318 as well.

I think $100 would be fair and then pay him to turn it also. Tell him you want to be fair with him and maybe he'll be fair with you on the machining?? Try to low ball him on the price and you might not be happy with his labor charges.

$100.00 and he checks it , and does the journals if needed. Because 318 crank is the same .

With lot of people building stroker 340's. I'd think they'd be a more cranks hanging around than before.
