What is it with some people..

Don't know how to 'Copy and Paste'.

My concern is another hijacked thread with JYH always making it worse. Just go do something else!
And this is just after I thanked someone else for helping me understand the site! And now I realize he was maybe helping me & being really being jerky about it at the same time. You can't always tell.
But JYH, do you just come on here to take out your frustrations on others? It seems so sometimes!
what are you blathering on about? none of this makes any sense what so ever, is this even in english?

and why are you addressing me? i haven't said boo to you, but here you are can't keep my name out of your mouth.

oh? you're talking about some mess from last week! well, as always, looks like you're a little slow on the uptake there woodster. better luck next time.

3 things that will get threads deleted around here are religion, current events and politics. Sometimes all 3 are in one discussion. Often one subject leads to another.

Threads like this one usually end up deleted because they are just trouble from the first post. They are also a pain in the azz for the staff because we either have to babysit them by reading every post, or if we purposely don't pay attention they eventually get out of hand and then there are numerous reports to deal with. That in itself can be a pain. Oh, there is always the "what happened to my thread" follow up threads. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

100%.

This place would devolve into a monkey poo throwing contest at the zoo without you mods, and every bit of good information would be lost in a pile of crap.

He's lucky I'm not a mod, I'd delete every thread he's posted for the good of the hobby. Most of his "methods" are pure hackery and have no business being passed off as legitimate. Seriously, it lowers the standard of advice that's being given on this site most of the time.

Is he the one that had all the crazy ideas awhile ago? Like mounting a router to a block so he could "bore" the cylinder or something like that? I never read those threads, but I remember seeing them.

At some point threads like this are like looking at a car wreck, and you just can't look away.
Rubber Neckers.....slows down the traffic to a crawl.....I like to look at crashes too but can't because of all the RN's!

Kemper makes bad Chad's body work look like masterpieces..
Don't know him well enough to know but know him from wanting to follow 'his' rules. Told him to go start up his own web site as this one isn't his....he got a few days off but came back and picked up the same stick and continued to beat the same dead horse.

Nah that was someone else. Kemper is the one that insists a metal screen reinforced fiberglass panel with copious bondo sculpting is a legitimate rust repair. Also featured heavily at the start of this thread for his ideas on new rules for classifieds.

This is "preservation" and a "no weld" repair project. Wanna be the guy that ends up with this finished product? And the funny part is that this abomination took longer to do than it would have taken to stitch in the replacement panels that are sitting in the trunk of this same car.

Years ago I went to look at a pickup that was at a used vehicle dealership. The 'jerk' on the phone said it was in great shape and needed nothing. The dang thing had bondo all along the lower body and in some spots had newspaper sticking out of the bondo. I asked him for his business card then gave him a good piece of my mind and told him I'd be making copies of his BC and would pass them out to my friends and family.

He's a hack!

It's healthy to have threads like this for a little while. Then, any productivity wears off. That's when people can turn on each other and it gets ugly.

Would it make a difference if the window screen was steel vs plastic? If you go to that extent why wouldn't you Flex Seal 1st, then bondo?

Barely skimmed through this... I've sold stuff here and bought, always a great transaction!
But I think my next "For Sale" will include right away "I WILL SELL TO WHOM I PLEASE" :)
Just like if 3 people post the same item for sale, the buyer isn't obligated to buy the one they see first. I honor "1st come 1st serve" when it doesn't matter, but if there is something I don't like about the transaction (up to and including the person :D), I'll skip right over them without a blink!
If I chose not to deal with somebody, I won't. It will be for my own reasons.

no no, you're thinking of the guy that thought machine shops were a rip off so he was gonna use a mag drill and hone/next over his block after cutting down some piston crowns with his "ban-saw"

so, in the same vein as captain bondo hack, but mechanical in nature.

anyway, here's these magnificent gems:

Sure thing. It's all here, and the classifieds section rules are VERY clearly posted at the top of each and every sale forum. People just need to read the rules and follow them. There are good rules established already, nothing is going to be perfect, and the rules we have are all there for a reason.

Oh oh oh! It would be non-conductive as well! You should start a "no weld" distributor thread! :realcrazy: :BangHead::wtf:

Sarcasm, for those that can't tell (I know 340six can!). Some of the stuff on this board lately!

Sorry, but no. Kemper is the one hijacking all of these threads from the jump. He's the one with the 30 day vacation, and rightfully so.

You don't need to spend tens of thousands to do things so that they're not worse than what you started with. You just have to be willing to learn and put in the work. 90% of his comments are pure lies.
I agree. I am a mod_admin at a firearm outdoor website. We had to warn one guy to stop telling member's to do things not safe and some not legal. After removing post and threads he got a ban.
Sadly people will suggest doing things that make things worse or unsafe in every aspect of life.
I think it is past trolling.
I am starting to think things are worse now as some use AI to spam and lots are click farming with links.
Seeing a lot of old accounts hacked I have to remove. Scammers and idiots never rest.
Kemper makes bad Chad's body work look like masterpieces..
The only thing good about Chad's videos are the comments bashing him.

Shoot.. I remember that guy. Lol
Yeah that was interesting.. to say the least.
I saw something the other day where a guy was doing a re ring kinda deal and used a small piece of stone or something to surface the head. There's a very strong lack of understanding going on in the world.. thats for sure
