What is this hood ?

Hey FABO guys, anybody have any idea or info on this hood? Is it a special factory piece or just some aftermarket piece. Owner says its off Roadrunner but I think they are different....any info would be greatly appreciated.

most likely fiberglass - nothing I have ever seen factory.. those do look like RR "scoops" - 73 74-ish I think

The car being 2 different colors is distracting but that hood actually looks pretty cool on there.

I built this from a 73 roadrunner hood, I have had it 16 years now.

somebody had to cut it out because the RR hood doesnt have front turn down like this one. RR hood has front nose panel unlike valiant. Thanks....

I almost posted that car the first time it was on eBay.

Looks pretty cool and not excessively expensive.

That's a fiberglass front clip. Originally sold by US Body fiberglass it included the RR hood design and fenders. It's not available anymore.

They still offer other hoods for A-bodies...

Its all steel, guess it was a RR hood grafted to 69 hood. Fenders and grill are 69 too, explaining no trim strip. Fuel injected 5.2 magnum stroked to 383 w 4 speed 44re , 12" disks and 17's? hummm. Its only 7 hr drive.

If it steel, it looks good from a distance and suits the car. Whats it look like from underneath?

There are several threads on here with guys that have
built their own hoods.
Most turned out very nice.
I grafted a 73 'cuda hood to a Dart hood.
Need to get back on it and finish it.
Just too many irons in the fire of life.
