pics will be needed to be positive but typically

9 bolt rear cover is a 7.25
10 bolt with oval shaped rear cover is 8.25
removable 3rd member....(looks like a 9 inch ford) is a 8.75

That's an 8 1/4" open diff.

yes my f150 has a 9inch rear inch .

yep definitely a 8.25 with the oval 10 bolt rear cover.

it has been setting a round for 14 years and the cats at the old place kept the mice out.getting ready to put motor together will wait smell to bad with heater on,looks real clean nice wear on gears. i will use til i can find 8/3/4. any guess on the gear? 46 and 18. als

Looks like it needs a trip to the car wash real bad but other than that a 8-1/4 is a decent rearend if your not running over 350 hp. Those 2.45 gears are pigs though. Good for hwy driving but that's it.
