what should i set my idle at

Got a 340 with a comp 302/309 duration .654/.655 lift solid roller cam and 11.7-1 compression berry grant carb super victor intake with x heads and I was wondering where i should set my idle at. prev owner of engine had it at 1650. it's going in a 69 dart with a v gate hemi 4 speed. 4.56 gear dana 60

What ever it will idle at. That's quite a engine and it I'll tell you where it wants to idle. No textbook spec here.

Thanks for the reply and i'll try that then. I don't have a ton of experience with really hopped up stuff yet as this is my first racecar and i'm only 19.
