A combo like that should run mid-high 10s at that race weight 60fts. permiting, IF you can't break out of the 11s somethings wrong.

Thanks for the reply's.. I'd be happy with a 10s street car.But some people around here gonna say thats a drag car with tags..I have two sets of tires ones on the car now 28x12.50 E/T Streets. and I have 315x60 M/T E/T Drag Radials also. Traction shouldn't be a problem..

I would if it wasn't 50 miles one way is the closest 1/4 mile track and the others are 75-100 miles one way..What if I blow a motor I'am fucked..LOL With 456 gears and 4000-4500 stall max speed will be 40-45 miles per hour.Taking it on a trailer is smart. Anything can happen. I'am gonna be running a 10 gallon fuel cell..

Smart man. Don't drive it if you don't have to. Too much gear and converter for that long of a trip after beating on it all night! My other car has 4.11's and a 3500 and that is barely doable on a 35 mile trip to the track. I worry all the way home!

I have to be the negative one.. I say with that set up.. It will run a for sure low 11's I have a buddy with a heavier car (68 BEE )but has a nice 500 stroker in it. His best time is 11:73 Just my opinion..

The motor has been a 10.81@126mph in my dads 73 duster with 488 gears and 29.5x12.50x15 Slicks and a 3500-4000 stall..But I have 456 gears and 28x12.50x15 E/T Streets. I will have a 4000-4500 stall..My buddy went from 11.0-11.1s with 488s and he went down to 430s and he picked up to a best of 10.83..

Oh ya do you know how much your buddy's car weights..

Ya thats why I bought a trailer. To far to drive it to and from the track..

What is the altitude? What fuel are you planning on running? What have you done shock spring any suspension work other than "super stock" rear springs with spring pockets? Are you planning on spraying it? Did you have the head work done or home job either way have you flowed them to get some actual numbers?

I'am gonna be running mix 93 and 110-112 cam 2 I mightrun straight 110-112 at the track... Same has when it was in my dads car. The tracks altitude I will be running at is 87/149/170/300 feet above sea level..I have 3 way adjustable shocks front and back...same as my dads car..I would like to spray it but I like to run it on motor.Since it been a best of 10.81@125mph in my dads car..Yes the heads have port and polished work. We did that after we ran it in my dads car they wasn't ported or polished but we didn't get them flowed.

Gotta be laying over unless it's REAL heavy.
I'm running 12.0/110 in 3480lb with a tired 440+30,9.3:1,hydraulic 0.484" lift purpleshaft, iron heads and std stamped steel rockers.

thats the idea, love the drag car with tags gripe.i didn't build it to sit in the fairground,i built it to flog it

Mid to high 10's at 123 mph. Just my guess.
I'd be happy with that..

Ya I would like to enjoy the car and drive it instade of being a trailer queen. Another one is when someone loses you must be spraying nitrous..

I wish you the best of luck! Just to let you know, I didn't mean to sound rude or really smart! lol.. Maybe my Buddie's car is too heavy! Let us know how you do!! Craig.

I dont know how good your heads flow. but besides the cam and heads our cars are pretty close. here is what i have in my car and think your car should run high to mid tens no problem. the only thing i am changin is i am going to a set of 4.30 gears blew up my 4.10 and changing to a set of holley 650DP carbs. hope to get mine down to the 10.30 or better. also i only got to make 4.5 passes before i blew up the rearend so did not get to do any tuning. also can you put up some pics of your 73 duster? i am thinking about build one. thanks Mopar65

4.10 gears which i broke on the 5 pass. now will have 4.30 gears
mopar 002/003 super stock springs
mopar 50/50 drag shocks

Provided those tires hook, I would think mid to high 10s, I think 430 gears might get ya in the mid to low 10s(but I've been wrong before), I'm running 10.7 @124 with a bit milder 440 (only .518 lift cam) but my car is probably a bit lighter as I have glass hood, decklid and bumpers. Good luck and post your results!!
