what size thermoquad for 360

got a 360 bored.40 with edelbrock performer heads and performer intake.has a comp cams thumper. im looking at a 850 thermoquad form a guy on ebay would this carb be to big or not.he gurantess the rebuilt carb says hes been rebuilding them for years

Well I run the large bore TQ from a 440 on my 318 and it does just fine.

I dont think it would even matter, 360 aint gonna open the big plates WOT anyhow.

What drugs have you been takin? I can tune a stock 360 to suck the guts outta a thermoquad...much less a hot one.

Set up correctly it's a perfect size. My small block meters 69 gph on the dyno while on the power band. Trust me it'll slurp everything the 850 can supply it.

The small primary TQ will feel limited one a regular and part throttle drive. When it opens up in full, you'll know not the difference. The smaller TQ is best suited to a stock 360 and bolt on's at max. It will do nicely on a hopped up 318.

You'll like the bigger TQ.

I know they open on my warmed over 318. The sound is music to my ears and very distinctive.
