What to Substitute for Old School Timing Light Adaptor (spring thing)?

Need to find something around here I can use to hook up old school timing light which is without the spring adaptor that went from the spark plug to the spark plug wire so a spot would be available for the timing light. Thank you for any ingenuous ideas.

You can make a T type out of 2 hardware store springs.One connected to the light wire and then the spark plug wire into the distributor cap. Maybe ?

If you could find it in yourself to post an actual picture of where the spring attaches to the timing light harness, that would be really helpful. Otherwise, this is like going into a whorehouse blindfolded.

Use a paperclip down through the #1 terminal at the distributor... Assuming the distributor boots are straight...

The spark plug connects the terminal with the green rubber in the photo. It's just a little spring-loaded thing you squeeze and let go over the springy think (or substitute in this case).

Is this the spring you want?

I'm sure that's what was in the original package. Just trying to do it "a la mexicana" since that's my location. The local Autozone here only sells timing lights on a special order basis.

Just pull back the #1 spark plug boot and clip on to the plug.
