Have leaf springs 2835072. Does anyone know were to look for what year car they belong too. Restoring a 68 A-body. Wanted them to be the right ones
That's my experience as well. In fact, I have the original springs that came out from under Vixen. I haven't looked at the part numbers, but they both have the same number of leafs and they are all the same lengths from left to right. All the A-bodies I've seen use the same spring RH and LH for a given model. They made 4, 5, and 6 leaf versions and different front eye bolt diameters, but, the actual spring will interchange LH and RH.
I'm unsure there's any way to determine that. Since the leaf springs for A bodies are all interchangeable, I believe the only thing you'd be able to determine would be the spring rate. I could be wrong. What does your factory part number interchange manual say?I know there is a right and left for s/s springs. These are both the same. What car does this go to and what year. Are they the right number for a 68?
Im all but certain that the springs that came out of my very original 64 Belvy had the same mopar number on both springs.....now im gonna have to dig them out and look....As stated above. That number if correct would only be for one side. Odd number on the left (drivers side) even on the right side.
Golly Beave, how'd you come up with that one? From post #8? LOLWhy not check the factory parts book for '68?? If they arent there, then they must be non original, or for a different application???
You can download any year at mymopar.com.
