hey guys, ive been looking around on the web, window shopping for a duster when i came across this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975...7811640?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item51a3a467b8

it has everything i want and it is within my projected budget BUT ive seen it on the wed for a while now, it looks like a reasonable price, if not a good deal so why hasnt this car sold?
am i overlooking the obvious here?

just wondering what the experts think

That car should be around 6k 7k tops

There have been tons of nicer cars on fabo for equal or lesser money..... Its a 75 duster, you could find a nice 70-72 for that kind of money, shop around!

where do you guys find the more reasonable priced dusters?
ive been scowering fleabay and craigslist but this is pretty much below "going rate" of what ive seen

i use craigslist or on here and see plenty of nice ones cheaper and better lol i like to look even when i cant buy my gf yells at me to stop teasing my self

12,000 ? never

I wouldn't touch that one with a 10 foot pole at that price. I see too many warts to fix for that much money.

Seems a bit steep. Like everyone said there are a lot of nicer cars out there for the money. You would not be happy driving that car with a full fiberglass front end. They shake and wobble like crazy. Trust me I have had drag cars that I have tried to make street able with the tilt front ends.

thanks guys, i guess im just not looking hard enough
(also i never considered the flimsyness of a fiberglass front end)

ill be sure to keep looking

My only issue is that it is a done car and do not trust other peoples craftsmanship. What is hidden below that paint? What quality of materials were used? Are the quarters going to start cracking off in 6 months?
Plus a .060 in a 360 doesn't get you 378 cubic inches, what else doesn't this guy know about it?

If you buy that your buying someone else's headache. It's priced about $8000 too freaking high.

Keep looking a good one will surface.

thanks for all the input guys

ill keep looking (and definatly use that webpage you posted sedanman)

i really apreciate your help here, this is my first time buying a classic car (or anything older then '89 and im not sure what to look for so if you guys dont mind ill keep running them by you as i find them interesting

also, if one of you guys send me a PM, my antivirus wont let me open the page

There are nice Dusters listed on ebay right now. The green 71 Slant 6 car is clean.

Find someone that will look at a car with you. You'll need it if. You really want to know what to look at before dropping anywhere near 12k

Launch Technique: Leave at 3000 rpm (projected)
Best 60-foot time: 1.80 (projected)
Best ET/Mph: 12.17@ 110.20 mph (projected)

Lmao...... "Projected".. Probably take it out and run a 15 second quarter mile..
