Do you think this after market hose is seated? I have turned it till its feels tight,but for some reason,I think that the flat spot on the hose should be flush with the block.What ya think.

Part of me is thinking there's supposed to be a crush washer there but I could be wrong
 
If it's a tapered pipe thread then it's not supposed to bottom out on the flange. If its a straight thread it should either use a copper crush washer under the flange or the tip should bottom out into a sealing surface. Can't tell by the picture.
 
Take apart, show us threads inside block and end of hose. Likely both are inverted flare.
There should be no npt fittings on any parts of the brake system.
And copper washers go on banjo type fittings.
 
ITS tapered but just want to be sure its - 24 today burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, but i can work in the cold lol.

Yup, inverted flare. Just snug that puppy up and dont worry about it.
