What's the best way to cleanup circuit boards?

-
The boards are coated except where they need to make electrical contact (green part = coated). Do not scrap off the green coating, but where there is no coating (brass color) use some fine steel wool (000 or 0000) but make sure you wipe off any steel wool pieces stuck to the board using very mild soap and water, and then dry it with compressed air. You can use the steel wool on the pins/post also, but don't break them off.

I use ketchup and q tips it works and doesn't hurt anything.

I use a little wd-40 and scotch bright pad.

How many threads do we HAVE on this??

Detergent, water, and scotchbrite pads.

Ketchup is the best thing I have used. Apply a little on the copper areas and let it set for a bit. When you clean it off the copper will shine like new and no scratches in it.

No Joke!

Anything with vinegar in it will remove tarnish from copper. Ketchup, hot sauce, etc.. have been suggested all over the web. Those products also contain salt which gives you a pretty green patena to tomorrows corrosion.
A proper product like Meguires All Metals should make more sense.
Or try that on your Mcfries. ROFL
