So I am putting a valiant together and I am to the point where I need to decide on wheel and tire size.

No matter what the size, the wheels will be factory appearing steelies with valiant dog dishes.

The driveline is a 225 slant that is not the everyday slant, it has a hyper pak setup with performance cam and the 4 bbl. / header.

The transmission is a 1965 A body ball and trunion 4 speed with a 3.09 first gear ( I think)

The rear is 3.91 gears with sure grip

Not looking to race and not going to do a lot of highway. Just a cruiser around with a ton of stoplight GO!!! Gas mileage is not really that important to me but if it got good gas mileage then it would be an afterthought.

What does fabo recommend for tire size?

Something tall. That 3.09 and a 3.91 rear gear will go by pretty quick. You may start out in second. LOL My 66 has the 3.09 with a 3.23 and I don't spend very long in first. 14x5.5 stockers and a 215 or a 225 would work good. I have 225-70-15's on 15x7's on my 66. They are pretty tall but I wanted that look. New 15" rear tires

14's would fit & look great. 15s look a bit out of place on early As to me.

Even with my 3-speed 3.23 car with 14s I can start out in 3rd without killing the engine.

I’ve got 14” on my 63 and it looks great. More options for tires as well. I’ll try to get a few pictures tomorrow.
