Ok guys, am I dumb? Or maybe I am just not looking hard enough?
Who has a list of what cars have what bolt patterns?
For some reason, I remember my 71 Swinger had small bolt pattern, what will the 65 Dart GT have?
Thanks in advance for such a newbie question...

They will both have a small bolt pattern. I don't have a complete list for you but you can probably spend a little time searching for it on the net. It's out there like pretty much everything else.

Don't worry, you will have people chiming in with SBP (small bolt pattern) wheels for sale. BTW: If you didn't post this in the wanted section, you may want to do that so people can find you a little easier.

If you want NEW wheels in the small bolt pattern, I've been looking & have found quite a few. Newstalgia Wheel has the Cragar S/S, Rallye wheels are available from several places, Centerline has at least 3 styles available with a good selection of widths & backspacings/offsets, someone posted that the Tire Rack has some 7" wide wheels (aluminum slots?), there is an Ansen 7" aluminum slot from American Racing, Coys makes a 17" & 18" wheel, & there are 2 or 3 companies that will make you a stock type wheel in larger diameters & widths with about any offset you could want. Even with the dinky wheelwells on back of my '64 Barracuda, I've found Centerline wheels available that will be as close to perfect at centering the tire in the wheelwell as I could ever hope to get from an off-the-shelf wheel.

It thing the basics are... everything except a-body had LBP until 1973 when the A-body stepped up from SBP to LBP.

What do you guys think of these? They are local and cheap... will they fit though? Will it look stupid?

The car is a 65 Dart GT
The only thing about that is is what he says about the BP...

5 on 4.25-small
Bolt Pattern is Early Mopar

I thought early was 5x4? Either way, if I get them, what lugnuts will I need?

I think those would look pretty damn good. Just make sure those rears have the correct backspacing for your car. As far as the bolt pattern goes, I am sure it is just a mistake. You may want to make sure that the mistake favors the 4" pattern vs the 4.5" pattern before buying them.

Forgive my noobish questions, but the way to measure them when I go to buy is from one bolt hole to a bolt hole that is 2 away, correct?

What backspacing would I need for the 65 Dart? I plan on putting air shocks in the back to lift it up just a little. As far as the front goes, the 14's wont make the car look stupid, will they? I like the thinner fronts because it should be a little easier to turn (for when the wife drives)...

You measure by hooking your tape measure on one stud then measuring to the center of the other, skipping one stud though. It sounds like those wheels are LBP because he says they are 4.25" and he is probably measuring center to center of stud (or hole) when it should be outside of one stud (or hole) to center of the other stud (or hole).

I am not familiar enough with the narrow bodies to know what the proper backspacing is off the top of my head but perhaps another narrow body FABOer can chime in and let you know what to look for.

It looks like Chuck all ready answered the bolt pattern measurement question. Good luck with this. It sounds like it might work out well for you.

yea, I sure hope so!
I called the guy and left a message, more than likely I will just go grab them, if they don't fit then they will hang on the wall.
I will offer the guy a crisp $100 bill for them...

OK so I got them from the guy...
One front wheel has some curb damage, nothing too major...
The rears have had the lip drilled out for what looks to be pins for running tubed slicks?
Are these repairable to run tubeless tires? the holes are very small, but either way, they are magnesium, so its not gonna be too easy to weld them. Also, I feel like a dumbass for not measuring the bolt pattern, they are 5X4.5 DAMMIT!
Anyone want to buy them?
