Where are the N2O electronics experts? Need help.

I have provided a tach signal to the NOS mini progressive via Pertronix external rev limiter module and a variety of MSD variants (6AL, 7AL). I have not had an issue. I'm going to assume the HEI is your problem. Short of a MSD analog box, I'm a Pertronix fan myself.

Yea, agree. I’m not sure how far I’m going with this, honestly I have all the stuff to just slam a box and a distributor on this thing and no longer worry about it. Good news is it’s been raining for two days now and given me time to think about it.

SIlly thought - would it be worth a call to Pertronix tech support to ask if their HEI module puts out a clean tach signal? If that rate you could just replace the HEI module and move on. They replacement HEI module is around $100.

That said I do like the Pertronix stand alone rev limiter box because it solves a few problems without being integrated into the trigger system in distributor. I think this is helpful because you can keep the module away from engine heat and moisture in lieu of these circuits being subject to everything going on in the distributor housing. The one thing I do not care for about this unit is the price >$200
