I’m almost to the point of painting my Duster. This will be my first paint job that doesn’t involve rattle cans so I’m just wondering where do you get your paints from? I’ll be painting the car in my garage with a harbor freight gun so so I’m not going for perfection here. I’m wanting to stay with B5 blue or something close.
Thanks!

Paint is something I like the idea of buying locally. That way, you can be sure of the color before committing to the purchase. If the cost difference isn't insane, that may be worth considering.

If I'm not mistaken, I think there are several versions of B5 depending on the year.

I would recommend finding a local paint and body supply. There are several budget/user friendly brands, Napa Martin Senor, PPG shop line, Nason, etc.

I HIGHLY recommend the store brand paint from TCP Global. Go to their web site and select Paint and Coatings, then under Automotive Paint select Auto Color Library. Then select Classic Library (1950-1977). Then enter year and make. The link here is fo a 1970 Plymouth. They sell Single stage, Base, Clear, all kinds of primers, reducers and everything you could possibly need for a paint job. There is nothing wrong with their paint at all, and it is way cheaper than name brand paints. I have used it several times. I painted my 69 Barracuda with their Base coat and their best Clear coat about 11 years ago. I find that their paint sprays, covers and sands/polishes out as nicely as any name brand paint I have ever used. Here are a few pictures of my Barracuda with the TCP Global Auto Color Library paint and the link mentioned above.

I didn't read everything here but I too bought a paint and jamb gun from HF some years ago.....but what I did was open up 5 kits and picked all the 'good' parts to make up a good paint gun kit. It worked excellent!! Even the HB workers didn't say a word to what I was doing and well, would it have made a difference anyways? I'm a journeyman machinist and that tells me yes it does. Couldn't believe the crap machine work and off center drilling that junk had!! Maybe it doesn't matter with a paint gun but.....dang, it made me feel much better to get parts that were right!
