Getting ready to replace my headliner and just noticed prices have
gone up considerably since last year. Anyone know the best place
to buy one from? Thought they all use to be around $75 but the ones
at Legondary are now $125 - $180. Am assuming all the headliners come
with tails attached for the sail panels(which I will probably need also).
Checked mine last night and the headliners wasn't attached to the sail -
guess this is normal for an original headliner?? Also need to revisit all
the headliner install threads on this site - looks like it might get painful.
Any info is always helpfull!!

I bought PUI off ebay and regretted it. Bow sleeves were in wrong spacing. Lots of confusion in trying to reorder.
Year One hooked me up at a great price and it fit perfect.

ordered everything from Year One - $79

I'll share everything i know about the install if you dont find it all in previous threads.
Please post here how the headliner fits when you're done. Good luck

received most my parts from Year One last night. The headliner looks like very nice material and even has covered sail panels that came with it. Also came with a retangular
piece of headliner material that looks big enough to cover the rear speaker shelf.
Should look very nice if I can install it correctly.

Most headliners will come with extra material for sail panels, sun visors whatever. I wouldn't expect it to last very long in direct sunlight like on the package shelf though.

and that's the one part that's on backorder - the package shelf. Will be
a while till I need that, plan on taking my time doing the headliner. I was
suprised that they sent the covered sail panels with the headliner. From
the sites I looked at the sail panels were a separate part you had to buy.

almost done, just need to heat it up to shrink it some. Put some pictures in my gallary
if you want to check it out. If it shrinks like I hope, I will be very happy.

crap, looks like the wrinkles got worse since I put it all back together,
tried using a 1600w hair dryer on it last night but it didn't do anything,
any ideas anyone???

put water in a kettle and shut the doors, the steam will take out the wrinkles. Then put the car in the sun with the windows up.Did that to mine and worked good.

will do if it ever gets hot up here in New England. -- haven't seen a hot sunny day in
a while!!!

Well, finally got my headliner in. Took a few tries, learned some things - like do it on a
hot day so it streaches easily. Turned out OK but not near perfect. Did the best I could
do with it and I'm finally happy with it. As an after thought I really don't know why
they didn't have those tabs sticking out on the sides they do on the front and back for
the headliner to attach to. Would have been a lot easier if they had the tabs all the
way around. The stretch and glue thing kind of sucked and the metal clips you buy
pull the fabric in some on the inside. Anyway, glad that's over. If I ever do another one
it will be a lot easier now that I know some things to do to make the job easier.
