Which is the best fuse to get power? The 3A on top, Instrument lights?

Ignition run feeds the warning lamps and gauge power in the instrument cluster, but IS NOT FUSED. If you tap into that, add an inline fuse. That line does not go through the fuse box. "Dark blue" goes directly from the ign switch to the bulkhead connector, and y's off to the cluster.

Otherwise, something "switched accessory" such as the AM radio connector

I got my light power supply from the tail lamp fuse. The green wire to positive side of the coil.

Uh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I hope you meant the negative side of the coil

Lamp power could probably just as well come from the same place all other dash lamps come from --the output of the headlight switch, cluster dimmer control, which feeds the "INST" fuse. Find an orange wire, like the radio connector

IF you have MSD or some other aftermarket ignition, refer to the manufacturer's destructions for the trigger wire. Some systems need a "tach adapter."

what about the 20amp fuse for accessories on the bottom. is it accessories? take a test light. if not find the power from the radio.
