Which exhaust manifold bolts need thread sealer on a '69 340

I just want to make sure I am sealing the correct studs-bolts when I install the exhaust manifolds. So... I don't have to do it twice.
Also, any recommendations on which thread sealer to use.

Any bolt or stud that is installed into a water jacket needs to be sealed. On your small block that would be the first and last bolt hole on each cylinder head. Typically there is a stud installed there, but you can use a bolt if you wish. I use teflon pipe thread sealant. Permatex No.2 works as well.
 
End studs sealed with high temp RTV.

Studs, you can take the manifolds off if you need to later without opening up the water jacket.

I purchased new studs and installed them with sealer as instructed above.
Thank you very much to everyone at FABO
 
I must have been lucky as can be as I've never used sealer on any of the exhaust bolts or studs and never had a coolant leak.
