circle track 63 dart with 8&3/4 5:57 with welded spiders. I went to O'reillys to return some rented tools (what a gift/much appreciated) & bought a gallon of 75-140 non synthetic gear oil. the manager told me that synthetic would be a better choice as it dissipates heat better & should I stay with this heaviest wt of lube (there were lighter grades on the shelf). thank you for your time. RR

I'd stick with 80w90 like it was designed for.

Hello Rapid Robert,
Use a fluid that has extreme high pressure capabilities and has an clinging additives for circle track racing.
There are several brands to choose from.
Hope this helps....
Happy Mopar :)

Find a GL-6 rated gear lube. They are out there and they come in mineral and synthetic. It's 2024, so why we aren't using synthetics is beyond me.

You're entire rear axle will thank you

Aw hell, use olive oil in it, if it doesn't work out, you can reclaim it and make your French fries with it.
