Hey guy's,

Just picked up a 400 block to build a 500" or 512 stroker.

I'm hoping to build 700hp if possible and still run pump gas for street cruising. Also would like to spray 150-200 shot when at the track. (Can run or blend race fuel)

Looking at
4.15 stroke, Eagle or scat stroker kit.
Also the 440 source 512 kit

Do you guys mind sharing your combinations and hp numbers?

Thanks All

I have a .035 over 400 using the 440 Source 500 ci kit.
The block wasn't decked, and the pistons sit in the hole about .030"
I'm using the -4 flat top pistons and topped with closed chamber fully assembled Eddy RPM heads.
The cam is a solid Lunati that is the most aggressive Voodoo. For my mostly street car is too much, but it's what I had.
That's all topped with a single plane holley dominator intake and holley 850 DP.
I run the stock 833 manual trans and 8-3/4 with 3:55 gears.
I never had the combo dyno-ed, but it has taken my chunky E-body to a best off 12.9 at 115 MPH skating the whole way down the 1/4 mile.
It is a premium pump gas motor that cruises the street, runs power brakes and no overheating issues.
I have just under 7000 miles on it, and has had no issues.
Great oil pressure, good even compression numbers and no issues.
With the aggressive cam it pulls lile a freight train when that cam hits it's power band.

Thanks BB73

I'm hoping to run 10's, not sure if that's out of line.

Torker intake
Pro systems Holley
30" slicks
4:10's
Prob a foot brake car undecided on trans brake yet.
3500 pounds

Look at the tech articles on my website. I've done a bunch of dyno testing with 470 inch pump gas big blocks that make more than 700 hp. Tech Articles | AR Engineering

Yeah I'd think if you work the suspension/hook out you could do it.
My junk is all factory rear and I've done little to help myself there.
My 60 ft were garbage, and a good build and honestly a good dyno tune would improve alot.

I'm currently putting in a adjtable ladder bar setup with coil overs.
