I purchased an instrument panel harness from Classic Industries. There is a separate wire that goes from the bulkhead connector to a part of the plug to the wiper switch. Can someone please tell me who can make me that wire with the proper ends on it? The wire is 18 gauge brown and is approximately 30 inches long. As always, thank you in advance.

Do you have the old wire? If so post pictures. What car does it go to?

I have a couple of big Rubbermaids full of raw wire. If you can post a photo of the old one I'll see if I can match it

On my 65 Dart conversion to a panel wagon I integrated the stock headlight and wiper switch into a custom underdash harness. Shoot me the specifics with pics and I will see what I can do

I did mine myself. Carefully peeled the correct end off a wire from a spare harness and soldered it to a new wire.

The wire itself is brown in color and goes from the one plug at the wiper switch and goes to the D position of the bulkhead connector. The second and fourth photos are the same. The top photo is the plug from the new harness installed on the wiper switch. The second photo is the plug on the old harness. The third photo is the other end of the brown wire that goes into the bulkhead on the old harness. One problem, I am having a problem is getting the wire pulled out of either end to show you what the terminals look like. Thank you for your help.

I have photos replying to someone else in this thread. But I can't get the wire separated from either the switch plug or the bulkhead connector. Thanks halfafish.

I can't separate the wire from both ends so I'm not able to show you the end terminals. Thanks 65 Dartman.

that brown wire is for the washer pump as CFD244 mentioned. Both ends take a Packard female terminal. You need a small tip screwdriver to release the locking tang. I will take a couple of pictures later

Thank you 65 Dartman. I appreciate it as always.

I have a wiper switch with all the wires including the tan washer pump wire

This is the end that goes in the bulkhead connector. It is a Packard 56 type fenale terminal. Notice the little tang sticking up. This is the only thing that hold the terminal in the bulkhead block or in a female connector like this:

This happens to be a double connector. You can see the terminals inside. To release the terminal you need a small tip screwdriver and insert it into the connector. In this picture you insert ut at the bottom into that litle part of the connector jutting out. Yiu might have to wiggle it up and down to push that tang down. Once it’s diwn sufficiently the wire will pull on out

The other end if this wire is inserted into a multi wire connector, all using the same fenale Packard 56 terminal as in the first picture.

Generally speaking this brown/tan wire is not secured within the wiper harness that follows the main harness to the bulkhead connector. It is just taped in place. In this picture the red/yellow and blue/black with tracer goes to the wiper motor, which happens to be correct for a variable speed motor. The pink wire is from the Key On/Acc in the fuse box. This wiring is from a 65 Dart wiring, the brown wire is approximately 44 in long

Hope this helps

That helps me out a lot 65 Dartman. Thank you so much. Come Monday, I will get that done. Hope you enjoy your Sunday. Take care.
