Hey Gang
Im wanting to get my 67 Barracuda's dash cluster restored. The plastic needs rechromed and detailed and the gauges need to be checked out and restored as well. Who does the best work?

Heres my bezels I just got back from GCAR out in Washington state. Long turnaround time but really nice work!! I believe just the guage cluster and glovebox bezels were right about $525!!

As for guages, I think R/T engineering is a decent choice, or Auto Meter Specialties...or something like that!! Geof

I have to agree. I called a couple and felt the best about GCAR. Here are before and after on my bezel, 62 Lancer. I am doing my own gages and circuit boards.

Very pretty. I don't think the interior or illuminated cavity is supposed to be painted red though. You might get a strange tint for that.
Good luck with it.

Yea, I know Red Fish! It's just back from powdercoat and I have to paint the inside. It will be white! It looks a little better than what it looked like after the guy stole the wagon!

That looks great! I was just thinking of sending my spare off to them, but I just noticed it has a broken corner.

What Mr. G has today is only what he has left on the shelves. Repaired as needed and re plated only. No detail paint applied.

I used Chrometech USA for the reface and Red Line Gauge Works to re do all the gauges. More than happy with the results.

I used GCAR fro the bezel and it looks fabulous. It was not fast, and a little pricey, but great work. I would use them again.

There was nothing wrong with the instruments so I didn't send them out.

I had sent the speedometer to Palo Alto Speedometer several years ago. They ticked me off by using large flathead zincplated screws on the face, replacing black-painted rivets. They apparently thought they wouldn't show when it was in the bezel, but they do. They will at least get painted black when I install the new bezel.
