That engine wasn't a production 318 block either...it was a X block, "aka race block" and he used lots of nitrous. Not your average enthusiasts 318 by a long shot.
I don't think this is correct. I think it was a production '68 block. I think it might have been half filled. It was on a 150 shot. Still, 10 flat with a bad converter and a 1.6 60ft time

Jaw Par, just admit that you quoted wrong. Your Post 68 was about YOU beating the other guys car, not "me and another guys car". It really doesn't matter what Spareparts used. It was a 318 grudge car. It can't get any better, winning races with the 318.

I'm almost positive....he was selling off a bunch of parts a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure his "318" was based on a X block. He had a bunch of W series race heads too.. y'all gotta remember, a grudge racer keeps his setup top secret... looks like a few of y'all don't understand how that game is played!

it's funny how you find one little thing wrong with me and yet you don't make any comment on the five things I found wrong with you.? You know the fact that this wasn't brought up because of you? Why do you keep bringing up this member that no longer around? I'm not trying to Grudge Match him or compare my car to him or anyting. As matter of fact the last conversation I had with him wasn't good whatsoever he pretty much told me to go f myself because I wasn't in my comfort zone sending money directly to his relative for a part. You know when I was just brand new on the form and didn't really know anybody. because I let him know I wasn't in my comfort zone with this process he shot me a personal message calling me all kinds of names telling me I was calling him a rip-off and a thief and all kinds of wild stuff. at that point I just completely dropped it and was glad I never did any kind of Correspondence afterwards.So this is your reply?

Just curious, lets say it was an "X" block. "X" block is a stronger block allowing more power (serious power), but doesn't ADD power. Cubic inches was cubic inches. But I really believe it was a '68 block. He had W2's on it. He offered it for sale for 4500 complete.

I'm telling you, it was a X block W head engine...and if you think extra thick cylinder walls don't make more power, your crazy. Why are we talking about "your freinds" car anyway? I remember being impressed by his "318" untill I researched it and found out what it really was. Grudge racing is a poker face game, and you got suckerd!

Well here's my "I got a friend" story LOL
This year my friend took his 74 duster with a stroked 440 dual quad tunnel ram "all motor" (all documented with Time Slips and pictures as in no BS talk) well I guess I'll just stop there and say he ended up with a Wally at the end of the year...

So I'm not sure here or was I supposed to be ashamed that my first time stroker build wouldn't beat somebody's X block 318 with all kinds of nitrous and W2 heads and crazy stuff like that with a car that's probably shave down to a minimum? LOL and again no numbers to ever say what it could have done or did do just that it won Grudge matches which as we all know can be won a million different ways and not even have a competitive car..

I've got a close friend here in town who's The Grudge Match racer and I don't know what he has in his car. He doesn't tell people and he doesn't brag. When we go to the Dragstrip he's generous to me and just stays ahead of me by a fender.
