Who lives near Troy, MI?

I'm glad to have the job, but it's tough to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude. I hope that changes.

Christmas day. Went north to Lapeer, next county over. I think I will do my shopping there from now on. Several stores that I went to. Some of the country reminded me of WI farmland. Rolling hills, and very rural. South of where I am now? They can keep it. Not too fond of the urban stuff.
I went from over 2000 sq/ft of living and storage to 700 sq/ft living. I really wanted to get back to work on my car, but it looks as though that will be sidelined for a year now. I know I will eventually get use to it, but for now it is not my home. I may have someone to rent my house out to, so that will be a big help to me. Will be time to save, save, and then save some more so next year at this time I can get a house, I will have a down payment, a good one I hope. Down payment that is. Oh well, but it is good to have a job. With that, anything is possible.

Good to have a plan. You can always PM me, and I can run you around the metro area to see some stuff. It's a great town for car guys.

Work or pleasure KK?

Visiting grandparents and hanging out with old friends from when we lived there.. :jocolor:

He grew up there until middle of high school. He still hangs out with some of his old friends when he can get out there... :occasion:

He stays at grandparents house so he gets free room & board while he's there... :glasses7:

He's probably hanging out with Keegan Michael Key (from Key & Peele) tonight if he can catch up him while he's there. :glasses7:

Here's two years ago in the entrance of Keegan's mom's house...

Man, he's hilarious. The coach one is hilarious, talk about wound up! And the two gang banger fighting is also good. Very funny guy, along with his sidekick.

Just in time for the Gibraltor ALL MOPAR swap meet .... excellent show .... look it up ... in January ....

Yeah, Keegan's always been funny. He's fun to hang around with... :D

Been here a month so far. And I don't like the area, period. I'm used to being able to get in my car and be in the county in minutes. Not here. Too damn urban for me, too many people. I'll stop there before I say something that could get the MI people upset with me. LOL.

Obviously I have good days and bad days. Haven't made the full transition to more good days than bad days yet, but am have more middle of the road days. Those who are older maybe can relate, but being up there in years change isn't always welcome, but change I will and moving 370 miles from anything I knew is a lot of change. I left all my friends and what family I had behind. When younger roots didn't seem as important, but today it is more important then ever. Oh well, I do have a job that I like so that makes things a whole lot easier to put up with, plus only need 12 more years. What the hell is 12 years when you're 57 almost 58? Ain't nothing but a drop in the bucket of time. What makes it worse is I'm in this damn apartment. I think if I was able to go to the garage and putz around with the car that would help. Putz... Anyone know what it means? I ask because I get this squiggly line thingie under it. LOL Ok, one more thing. COME ON SPRING!!!
