I know that reproductions are available for spool mount V8 motor mounts but I'm having trouble finding them with urethane instead of rubber.
I know that you can squirt windshield sealant in the voids of the rubber insulators to reduce the risk of a blowout. I also know that urethane inserts are available from Jegs.
It would be better for me if I can find the mounts with the urethane inserts. I need them to fit a 360.
These will need to fit a stock '73-76 A body K member. Looking on Rock Auto.com, the '73-76 A body uses the same mounts as the Aspen/Volare/Diplomat/Gran Fury/Fifth Avenue cars all the way to 1989.

OOoof.....

The rubber insulated motor mounts can be bought for less than $20 each, the urethane inserts are $58 through Jegs. Add in shipping and I'd be around $120 for rubber insulated ones that I convert myself.
Yeah, the difference may be around $100 to get the Schumacher mounts. Maybe I don't need the urethane since the cars I need them for won't be drag raced and won't be with slicks....

Well, at the very least, these come with all the hardware....

if i had to have poly i'd bite the bullet and just get the schumacher kit. the fact that it comes with all the hardware and you know everything is gonna fit and not fight you is worth the price of admission to me.

think of it this way: you're spending about $100 to get hardware and good mounts that are painted and you don't have to R&R the insulators.

I mean you’re paying $100 for $15 worth of hardware, none of it is specialized stuff.

The only advantage I see is that it looks like they sell 318/340 mounts, last time I looked all the replacement ones were for a 360 so you have to use a spacer.
