A brand any good auto parts sells them, even Jeg's and Summit

I have used #2765 and 2947, They are the shorter ones, or they can match your application.

            Hayden is the brand.
I read somewhere Hayden made one specifically because of the limited room.
            #2947 as Steven190 posted.

Does anyone know what comes with the Mopar Performance Viscous Fan package? How tall/short is the one in that kit?

If you don't mind taking out your radiator every time you need to take off the water pump it's fine!!! I put one on my 340 while it was out of the car. It went in fine and the radiator went in fine, but a year later when I needed to change the water pump, I couldn't get the fan off without buggering up the radiator because the fan was so close to it. When the new Hayden short shafts came out I swapped it over. Live and learn...

That is exactly what I'm experiencing. I have between 1/4" & 3/8" between the radiator and the fan blades. Do you know which Hayden short shaft you used?

You need about 3/4" between the radiator and fan. I think that the 2947 is the shorter one.

Will the fan being that close to the radiator not cool as well at highway speeds? It seems to stay at 195* in town but highway cruising the temperature has climbed to ~230*.

I installed a new replacement Spectra Premium cu5526 radiator, 6-vane water pump, MP viscous fan kit, added the Detroit Muscle Technologies hood to radiator support seal, new upper and lower hoses (with the spring in the lower), and yes I'm using the factory shroud.

The Hayden Short shaft fan clutch is part number 2947. I went out to the garage today where I still have 2 on the shelf - you don't know when they will stop making odd stuff like this. By the way the Jag fan that many of us used to use fit better but it wasn't speced for a v-8 and many of them start breaking down early. It was a guy here on FABO that got Hayden to make these. We had a campaign to e-mail Hayden to show them the demand.

I find all this strange. I've run the MP fan setup in both early and later A bodies and have never had a problem with room. And yes, the radiator does have to come out on the early cars, but so what? It's a ten minute job. I caint believe anyone is crying about that. Take up stamp collecting maybe? Just kiddin of course, but dangit, radiator removal is way easy. If that has to come out for access to something else, then so be it. It's part of the job.

I used a cheap aftermarket aluminum radiator on my Dart and had to use the Hayden short shaft clutch which I bought last year from NAPA.

1 - the fan is too damned close to the radiator. to operate correctly. The original fan clutches were the height of the Hayden short shaft.
2 - if you have a minor front end accident there goes the radiator, and the fan (don't ask why I know this)
3 - Rusty, you must have some magic way to keep the antifreeze in the radiator and engine while performing this ""10 minute job". Please share it with us all.

                  Just kiddin of course

Number 1 is incorrect unless you have a shroud and the fan is buried in the shroud. If that’s the case then yes, the fan is too close to the radiator.
