why havent i seen any dodge stealth's lately?

I dont remember seeing them much when they still made them. Dont they have the same running gear as the Mitsubishi 3000GT? I thought those cars were very similar. I think you may have more luck finding one of those.

My sister has a Stealth she bought new drove for about a year and garaged, and that's where it's at, hasn't seen the light of day since.

They were problem prone, hard to work on, underpowered compared to the competition, and hard to insure.

They are a baby supercar, and with the right work, are an outstanding performer, but they take the right owner, and wrench, to make them realize the potential.

The twin turbo's were hot OOTB and could be tweak well. Back to basics is right about the owner of such cars. Not many people yweak Mitsu. engines like other engine companys.

I see Stealths pop up in the paper every now and again for reasonable prices, condition dependent. The range I have seen is somewhere between $2000 to $7000.

I'd guess that due to the complexity of the various AWD, All Wheel Steer, Twin Turbo, etc systems that the cars are now more expensive to maintain/repair than they're actually worth. It's the Porsche 928 syndrome: a very nice car with current low values that still needs to be treated like the $100K car that it was when new.

Not too many people can wrap their brains around putting more money into a car than it's worth... a-body lovers excepted. ;)

became too hard to get someone to work on them and if I am correct very hard to locate parts for.
