Why loctite 518 under rear main cap?

Hey All,

Fsm calls for two drops of loctite 518 under the rear main bearing cap. I plan on using it.

Anyone know what the reason for it is? Just curious.

Yes sir. It's a anaerobic sealer that sets up in the absence of air. Used mostly between 2 machined surfaces.
