Will trans crossmember still work?

I've got a 66 Barracuda. Putting in a 360/727. Car has original 6 cyl. K-member and trans crossmember. (904 trans) Am using Schumacher engine swap mounts. Will the original trans crossmember still work?

Be prepared to find the 727 is not quite a bolt in. You are going to have to pound the body seam flat at the tunnel head and possibly further clearance the tunnel down by the fatter tailshaft. Does your 66 use the thick (3") biscuit mounts or the thin ones? Thin ones help as they lower the trans/motor in the tunnel a tad. Spacers under the K help too.

Thanks for the comments. Not sure which trans mount I have. Will have to look tomorrow, it's getting too cold in the garage and not worth starting the heater.
