hey everyone,im in the process of starting bodywork on my Duster.Ive been doing this for along time now,but always had a hell of a time removing chrome trim from the front and rear windshields without slightly warping them.Ive mostly used a putty knife with decent results ,but always slightly left a minor bulge .Whats the best tool and procedure to remove them?thanks:cheers:

they make plastic tools for that. I'm not sure were to get it . O'riellys maybe or eastwood

be careful even with the right tool my dad broke my windshield

This slides under the chrome, and catches the clip. With a slight prying, it will release the trim from the clip. Keep flat, parallel to the glass, and work your way around...

That's the correct tool shown above. Even with , it can be difficult. I think body guys develop a knack for it. I have hit just the right line a few times and popped a series of clips like buttons on a blouse. Good luck

Finding the clips is the hardest part. Its the sealer that hides them.

thanks guys!I was able to pop them off without any damage.(after an hour)
I had to carefully lift it up and pop them off the clip from underneath, and I found the perfect tool, please dont laugh because it worked great, lol (costed a dollar from the dollar store)
