I'm getting ready to install the windshield and back glass in my 73 Dart Sedan. I've been watching YouTube videos on this. Does anyone know which model year Darts are the same for my 73? For example, is the install procedure for a 69 the same for my 73? Does anyone know about any other resources that would be helpful? I've read my service manual but it's a little vague. Most of the Youtubers aren't using sealant. That seems wrong to me.

I have never used sealant. Even when I did auto glass and the only ones that were still glass in gasket were big trucks, never. If you put butyl in there, aside from becoming messy, it may force the water somewhere it isn’t designed to go and it could stay in places you wont see until it’s too late. I use a good quality glass cleaner/lubricant (betaclean) and a pair of plastic trim knives and never had a leak

Pretty sure the same installation til 76, and I would put the gasket on the pinch welds with tape holding it to the outside of the body and spike the bottom corners and work your way up the sides and along the top. The top corners can get scary and sometimes it’s like you have to over fold the lip outside whilst pushing the glass. Albeit tight, light persuasion will prevail

The windshield is '67-76 Dart and Valiant 2 and 4 dr sedans. The back glass is '67-76 Dart 2 and 4 dr sedans, and the '74-6 Valiant 4dr sedans.

Anyone else against using butyl goop or tape. Factory used it, but seems like it might be optional from what I'm hearing.
