I just installed my windshield. When I got the car the moldings where off so I have no idea how they go. There is a flap on the w/s gasket does the molding just lay against it or does it go into the moldings groove.

Did you install the moulding clips before you installed the windshield 340 swing? The moulding attaches to those.

Yeah the clips are in. I just want to know if the rubber fits into the trim or just lays against it.

Not sure of the 70 model but,
If you have a pic? I could tell for sure.
Was the gasket a Precision #WCRD 691?
If I am reading correct the gasket has a flap approx 3/8" wide aiming toward the outside of the gasket all the way around the windshield facing away from the center of the windshield?
If so this may be the flap that folds onto itself and tucks into the locking channel of the gasket. They have been shipping this gasket instead of the one that uses the black locking strip. This flap would be the "Zipper" or self locking gasket. no lock strip needed.
Be alot easier if we could see a pic.
The glass companies, suppliers, and installers usually have no clue as to whats going on with the gasket windshield combos they are shipping on the darts.
Keep us posted & good luck!:read2:

I will get a picture later today. The gasket is a nos gasket that came with the car. I don't think the 70 Darts used a locking strip. Does anybody have a picture of a finished windshield molding (close up)
