Wix, Napa Gold sale

My local Napa store had a cute, very efficient younger girl that ran the store. She would call me once or twice a year when their Wix sale (50% off) was starting. I would stock up for all my vehicles with fuel, air, and oil filters. Well they closed the store so I asked my buddy that runs several stores when it was and he said the middle of July. So it’s time to start saving and making a list of what you need. I will try to post a reminder.

WTF. I thought Wix was built in the USA. Can we not build anything in this country ?

They run a fleet pricing deal here twice a year and I stock up on filters for my cars, truck and tractors.

Maybe mopowers would be to cheap to buy one, but I believe most would pay a couple extra bucks ( if they had a choice) for US built products.

I would gladly pay for a 'quality' US made oil filter. The problem is, (1) US made doesn't necessarily guarantee quality, and (2) we're in the minority. Look at how many posts there are on this site from people complaining about the cost of decent A-body headers, good rocker arm set-ups, shipping, etc.

Mopar guys are generally the cheapest out there from my experience. Hell, there was a time when I was a cheapskate. Luckily, I don't have to be anymore.

I just called the store I put my order in with the 1st week of April, they said that WIX tried shipping SOME of the total order the store put in tp WIX, the owner replied back, don't ship anything unless you ship the complete order.

Evidently not, the globalists have made sure of that. We jumped into World War II and started stomping *** because we had metal foundries here. If you can build planes and tanks and for steel and you have talentrd Tradesman like welders Fabricators Machinists,ect. You can create whatever you want now we have a whole younger generation that doesn't know any real valuable skills not all of them but for the most part we don't build anything here over 280 foundries closed. And all the money that we spend on this junk from overseas family China a good color that goes their military-industrial complex

The Napa filter I have has USA stamped on it.

I have 2 WIX filters left and they are both stamped USA.

Just be aware, if you order a Wix oil filter online (51068 or 51085) when you open the box you may find a white canister instead of the usual black version and a green card card in the box stating to the effect “due to supplier shortages......” It is made by Mann & Hummel, and is a different design also. The usual black versions have six drain back holes, and the white only has four. I found this out at an Oreilys the other day. I’m sure the white version is a fine filter but I put it back as I wanted what I’ve been using and don’t care for only four holes at 12-3-6-9
