progress to follow..

What are your plans for it?

Fix the rusty body parts respray in the original black.
Clean up the trim work (replace as needed).
Tint the windows.
Nice 360 (approx. 400+ hp), A500 trans, 340 hp exhaust manifolds, 2 1/2" exhaust with X pipe and super quite mufflers.
8 3/4" with Grand Cherokee discs and 3.55 suregrip.
Cordoba front rotors, 15x7 cop wheels and dog dish caps, haven't decided on tire size yet.
Complete front suspension rebuild.
KYB gas shocks.
New bushings in the rear
Front and rear antisway bars.

So not too much ...

Sounds like a cool build ! Kudos for rebuilding & modifying a 4 door :glasses7:

I see 2 *potential problems* with your proposed mod's :

1.) I've heard that 340 manifolds won't fit in '63-'66 A bodies ; use the original 273 manifolds , port-matched .

2.) The A-500 ( et seq. ) won't fit without major mod's to the trans tunnel . Even a 727 won't fit without modifying the tunnel !

'63-'66 A bodies weren't -originally- designed for V8's . The 273 was a relatively tight-fit ( witness the steering box clearance casting on the left side of the 273 blocks ) ; and the 904-LA was designed for the slim trans tunnels of the early A's .

I'm definitely not trying to discourage you nor bust your chops . Matter of fact , I hope that my info is incorrect ! I've read numerous articles pertaining to 340 / 360 swaps into early A's , and they all sang the same refrain : exhaust limitations and 904 automatic restrictions .

I'll be following your progress :thumblef: :happy1:

Thanks for the heads up. You are definetly not discouraging me. I value everyones opinion and knowledge. I have rersearched some of the issues and am prepared for more. The build I did I my 67 Cuda was a pita at times but I managed to get all the kinks worked out with the exception of body work.

I was thinking of going to rack and pinion to solve the exhaust issue. I will be modifing the trans tunnel to accomadate a A518 if the A500 does not work out.

Thanks for following the build but do keep in mind it will take some time as I do not have a infinite flow of cash and am recovering from a back surgery.
